An Introduction to Music Making

Coming Soon...

An introduction to early music making, rhythm and pitch.

Appropriate for beginners, infants that are walking < age 6.

In these 30 minute music lessons we get creative and explore the variety of ways to make music.

These beginner music lessons look through various learning themes such as:

  • colours,

  • space,

  • sea,

  • seasons,

  • festivals,

  • letters

  • and numbers.

These themes help your child to develop language, numeracy and communication skills and to explore the world around them.

Our themes continue to develop as we use action songs, movement and instrument playing, whilst your child learns to play and use more than one instrument during a song or piece of music.

Your little ones will enjoy many action songs like:

  • 'Old MacDonald',

  • 'Incy Wincy Spider'

  • '5 little ducks went out one day'

  • 'Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes'

  • 'B-I-N-G-O',

  • 'Twinkle Twinkle'

  • plus many more

designed to develop movements, and to encourage their imagination and creativity.

It's amazing how quickly children learn how to play percussion instruments, such as:

  • tambourines,

  • bells,

  • cymbals,

  • xylophones,

  • drums,

  • and shaped shakers;

helping hand - eye co-ordination and fine motor skills.

Through these introductory music lessons, your child will also develop gross motor skills, such as:

  • walking,

  • balancing

  • and crawling,

using simple music and movement activities, as well as the use of props.

See your child become more adept at playing a variety of musical instruments and learn musical skills such as:

  • rhythm,

  • pace

  • and dynamics.

Your child's independence, confidence and social skills will grow in these fun, multi-sensory, music making lessons.
